It's official, Mason turned one on July 14th. We had lunch with a couple of my friends and ran a few errands in the day. I thought about getting one or two decorations, maybe just a party hat for him to wear, but he was so tired that I figured I'd rather him 'happy' than decorated. So here is a picture of Mason with his cupcake. Josh and I decided to do a little something today, just the three of us, and we'll celebrate with the rest of the family this coming Sunday. All you mothers out there that have dainty, little kids who aren't sure about getting messy, prepare yourself for Mason! Here are a few more pictures of just how much fun he thought it all was. Too stinkin' cute! Next time, strip the kid down naked! Its a whole lot easier to hose him off afterwards. My first was MESSY! We had frosting smooshed in her hair, my hair, Tony's ear etc. It was everywhere. Poor second kid didnt even get a cake. Maybe thats why she is such a turkey now?!!!
I love one year olds. You are going to have a ton of fun w/ him!
He was already up so far past his bedtime that I thought stripping him would be cruel. He was conveniently in brown shorts though. I'm not much of a neat freak, so mess doesn't throw me off my game. Getting it out of his hair and armpits in the tub was all part of the fun!
That's just a cupcake, wait until he get's ahold of a cake! He is awesome. One is such a fun age!
Oh my heck, how can he be one already! He is adorable, I agree that one year olds are fun--they are so excited about everything and learning sooo much.
