Josh and I have been discussing music the last few days. His parents generously gave us a gift card to Best Buy for Christmas and we've gone back and forth with what to purchase with it. I've fought for splitting the funds down the middle and both of us getting something individually. This is mainly because I've been wanting an Ipod. I have a 1g MP3 player, but it doesn't hold nearly enough music. Plus, my car has an Ipod adapter, so I was liking the idea of junking all of my cds. I have WAY too many cds. Josh was surprised at how much music I have, since he never sees me buy a cd or even talk about one I want. Usually, I'm able to burn what I like from someone else. I very much enjoy listening to 'my' music. I rarely listen to the radio. Well, Josh reminded me that my cd player in my car also plays .wav files. He told me if I downloaded them properly, I could get 12+ hours of music on one cd. Last night he showed me how and today I've spent a good part of the day ripping my cds to our computer. I would've said that I had 3/4 of them already on the computer, but that would be a ridiculous overstatement. I have SO much music. Anyway, I have since burned a 'Favs' cd, complete with Alanis Morrisette, Damien Rice, Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty, Ani Difranco, The Given and a 'Soundtracks/Musicals' cd with Aida, Across the Universe, Evita, RENT, Les Miserables, Cruel Intentions, Wicked, Grease, etc. Josh claims that I'll be able to have the artist and song titles displayed on my cd player, so it should be wonderful. Just think of all of the sleepless nights I've spent doing nothing, when I could've been downloading all of these silly cds to the computer. I no longer want an Ipod and I think we've decided to replace our camera that is smoking every time the flash goes off. That's not usually a good sign. Of course, we're too poor to get the digital SLR that I so badly want, but replacing our point and shoot is very necessary.
Anyway, we also spent the day on various cleaning/organizing projects. I got most of the boxes out of the basement that were baby girl clothes, maternity clothes, and 'Brandy no longer fits in these clothes'. It was an entire truckload with just those 3 categories! Josh organized the garage in hopes that I may, someday, be able to park in there. ;)
All of this was done, while I watched over Mr. Mason too. It was an exhausting first day of 2009! Around 5pm, when Mason was fighting me on a nap, Josh completed what he could in the garage. He took over Mason duty and let me nap. They took all of the boxes to my parent's extra garage to store. (Thanks again, Dad, for the storage space and your help!) I napped so hard and so deep that I woke up sweating AND drooling! It was pure heaven and much needed. I slept for 3 hours. Sheer bliss.
Happy (apparently very busy) New Year, everyone!

Good call on the camera though the ipod is much more exciting. Happy Holidays to you guys!
Sweating AND drooling? That is a great nap! Kuddos for you girl!
I've been drooling a lot lately. I chalk it up to the pregnancy. :)
One of the best parts about our Focus is that it plays mp3s. So we have a few cd's in the car that have SO MUCH of our music on them. M.'s a musician, too, and he has even more music than I do, so our cd collection is rather large. It rocks.
Your camera really smokes? That's sorta funny! Hee hee!
Happy New Year! (9 more days, in case you forgot!)
Can I please download some of your millions of CD's, please??
