I received this lovely guitar as a hand-me-down toy from one of my friends. Can I just say, oh my hell?! This is quite possibly the loudest toy I've ever encountered. Val, I'm so sorry for buying it for Jake last year!
Sure, it's cute, but there is no ON/OFF switch or volume control. It comes as no surprise (now) that the batteries were not dead, rather, missing entirely when I acquired it. Since I know that most of you just assume I'm overreacting, I thought I'd add a video clip of it for you. Turn your volume up nice and loud.
(Dad, you can skip this part. Without sound, it's lame and you're not much of a rocker, anyway!)

Seriously, Mason is such a cutie patootie! And I agree about the toys that are loud, we are now only buying ones that have an on/off switch and volume control because I would like to have some hair by the end of the day ... He is such a rocker!
I HATE loud toys. Tony finally had to tell his Mom no more toys or we'd send them back. I swear, what happened to simple toys that didnt have lights/noise etc?
I love the pic of Mase standing up. Too cute!
Brandy, I am laughing out loud right now - when I saw that picture I thought it looked really familiar! That's too funny....karma, maybe? :) We found that sticking a piece of packing tape over the speaker on toys really cut the sound. Just make sure it's stuck down well so it doesn't become a choking hazard.
