Like I mentioned, we went on lots of little 'hikes'. The kids and adults got restless cooped up in a cabin for a whole week, so we usually ventured out a couple times a day. It was such nice weather and we were always searching for wildlife. We saw a few bunnies, a couple butterflies, chipmunks and potguts, and a couple deer (thanks to Josh coming and getting us). I was disappointed that I never saw a moose. I went on a couple of drives to track them down, but I didn't ever see any.
The walks were to burn off energy, but also, to take in all the beauty Fish Lake has to offer. On one of the walks, you'll notice Josh holding Mason by a stream and Mason rubbing his eyes. He got sunblock in one eye, which is supposed to be sting proof. Unfortunately, he's slightly allergic to it. I've tried a couple different ones and haven't had much luck. We got him all washed off at the stream and gave him Benedryl as soon as we got back. He was fine, but he sure looked miserable for a little bit of the walk.
I still have the boat/fishing slide to do, but it's late and I'd better get some sleep. I'll try to post it tomorrow. Hope you've enjoyed Fish Lake so far. We absolutely love it!
