Father's Day for my Dad

Brandy and Dad

Grandpa and Mason

HAPPY FATHER'S/GRANDPA'S DAY!

Where do I begin with this post? There are so many sappy things that I could say about my Dad, but I know that my whole family (including him) reads this, so I'll resist for them. Me and Mason spent the day before Father's Day at my parent's house. We got Dad a 'corn basket' for grilling corn cobs on the grill. Handy little invention. The time spent with him and my Mom was so perfect. We decided to take Mason on a wagon ride around the neighborhood. The youngest three grandkids have been able to ride in the special wagon around the neighborhood. Previously, it had been used to tote 11 pups around to sell them. As you can see, it's rather spacious for one little boy, so we stack pillows and blankets in it for comfort and safety. Mason still reached over and chewed on the side whenever possible. I walked along beside Mason, trying to get him to keep a hat on. No such luck, so I just ended up shading him with my body. It was a lovely stroll.

I am grateful for the love that my Dad has for me and Mason. I try to spend as much time with him as I can. I want Mason to know his Grandpa and have as many experiences and memories to look back on as possible. We are lucky to live so close to my Dad and even more lucky that he enjoys spending time with us. My dad is an amazing person and I am so happy to be his 'Weed' and Mason his 'Fishy'.
