Venice is flooding

For some of you who have not been to Venice, this post may not be as significant to you as it is to me. I was just there 9 months ago and can't believe the amount of water they have received in order to cause such extreme flooding. Venice always has a 'flood season', but the water levels only rise about 2 feet. They are used to this and plan for it every fall. This year, however, they got dumped on! My sister, Nicole (who was also with me on the Venice trip), emailed me some pictures of what Venice looked like last week. I went through some of my old photos to see if I could find some good comparisons for you. It truly is amazing how much water there is right now. I hope that Venice doesn't sink! It is an incredible, beautiful place.

Wow those are some crazy pictures to see. Hopefully they get it cleaned up good!
We picked up the Gingerbread house at the CVS Pharmacy store(I know, kind of random) but we also saw it at Wal-Mart too. Hope you can find one:)

It better not sink, I haven't been there yet! I think it's hilarious that the people are all just out there in it - the one of the old men at the tables is hilarious! So European...que sera, sera, no?
