Things that make me smile...for Christmas

I love to wrap Christmas presents! I truly do. I am THE ONLY one in my family who does, however. I don't know exactly where my love of wrapping came from, but it's kind of a win-win for everyone. I get to help wrap loads of gifts of my family's that they hate to do. We usually end up wrapping together at least once or twice, but this year I've brought presents to my house to wrap too. Niki was kind enough (of course, I didn't have to offer twice) to let me steal her lot of toys for the kids to wrap. I literally have to ration them out though. I get so caught up in wrapping that I lose track of time, especially when Mason is sleeping.
The point of this long, seemingly meaningless story, is that THIS MAKES ME HAPPY!

And then there's the Christmas cards. The one time of the year where I get even more giddy about getting the mail than usual. I am always confident that during the weeks leading up to Christmas, I'll get a few cards from loved ones. This is so exciting to me! It is the sole reason I've sent out Christmas cards of my own each year. I love to get them, so I suppose I'll do the work to send them out too. I would NEVER send out a card without a picture though. The pictures are my favorite part. This year, we didn't have a great family picture of the 3 of us, so I just sent out pictures of Mason. He's quite cute to look at! Thank you to all of you who sent us a Christmas card. It really makes my whole day when I open them.

I am the same way about the cards. I am not really that into Christmas overall, however the cards are a delight of mine as well. Our mailwomam doesn't get here until almost 6 pm! It is torture!

I spied our card! Aren't we cute?

I was planning on doing a post with Stella and all our cards when it is almost Christmas...so don't be surprised when I have a similar post as you...minus the wrapping.

The wrapping thing is hilarious, Brandy! M and I realized the other night that he hates the wrapping part and I hate the cutting part. So we cooperated and each got a job that we like!

Do you suffer from post-Christmas-the-mail-is-boring-now syndrome too? All the packages and cards are done coming! If we ever live close to you I will come wrap with you - I love it too!
