Computerless

I've officially been computerless for over a week now. I'm going bana (keep going), bananana (damn), bananas. (If you aren't a Demitri Martin fan, you won't get that!) Anyway, just wanted to vent a little and give Nicole something to read. ;) I've got my laptop up and running for now, so I'll take advantage of it while I can. I don't dare download pictures just yet, but they'll be coming. Hopefully, my desktop will be out of the shop soon.

Josh's birthday was on April 30th, so we had a little get together with my family at Layton Park. We did the normal cake thing (albeit the ugliest cake you've ever seen!) and played outdoor games like throwing a baseball around, soccer, and croquet. Josh has been working on our yard, mainly the poor grass. We had tons of crabgrass in our lawn that we killed last summer, so we have patches without any grass now. Josh bought seed and now we're waiting to see how it grows. I bought him a STIHL motor with a removable, leaf blower attachment. We'll get a few more attachments and figured this was the cheapest way to go about it. Of course, Josh wanted the commercial size, gas powered one, instead of the residential one. It sounds like a motorcycle when he starts it up. My dad says you have to be a certain age to own a gas powered STIHL and Josh isn't old enough. Oh well, looks like we jumped the gun on that one. Josh also got a backpack to haul Mason around in on hikes. Mason looks darling in it. I took pictures of both presents, while in use, and will post them as soon as I can.

Mason and me have just been hanging out lately. We got his 9 month pictures taken this week. I am SO excited to see them. My photographer, Amber Togisala, does such a great job. They'll be available to view on May 14th, so let me know if you want to see them. I'll email you the site and give you the password. They are online for 2 weeks. We went to the Real vs. Galaxy game and had such a fun time. Wade was out of town, so it was Nicole, Ethan, Ellie, Josh, Mason and me. We fit the polygamist profile perfectly. I borrowed Dad's binoculars to really hone in on David Beckham. Not wanting to disappoint the fans, he politely stripped off his shirt after the game. I hollered way louder than I should have and promptly turned to Josh to apologize for my outburst. I've got a major crush on Beckham, what can I say? Ellie was afraid of the Lion mascot, which apparently runs in my family. My cousin Heidi, me, and now Ellie think they are quite creepy! When Nic and I were in Italy, we bought jerseys for the kids (and me). Ellie, Ethan, Mason and me all had on our various soccer jerseys. Mine is a David Beckham #23. Not too shabby! I got a little flack from some Real fans that night, but I didn't mind. I bought myself a Real one too, but the Beckham one is my fav.
