100 random facts about me

For all of those who feel they know me well enough and those who just don't want to bother, please feel free to skip reading this post! My friend posted 100 things about herself and I enjoyed it.

#1 - I still cry at night when I watch my baby sleep. I love him SO much it's overwhelming at times!

#2 - Mason 'Scott' is named after his grandpa (my dad) and his great, great grandpa.

#3 - I have always hated the name Brandy.

#4 - I worry about everything way too much.

#5 - I have life insurance on Josh, due to said worrying.

#6 - Josh is in the National Geographic Adventure magazine (March 2008)

#7 - I miss junior high and high school.

#8 - I have to wear sunglasses when the sun is out. My eyes are very sensitive to light.

#9 - I can't sleep if there is noise, light, or if it's too hot (I'm not a very good cuddler).

#10 - I was born after my dad got 'fixed'. He didn't go to the follow up appointment.

#11 - I physically shudder or gag when I see a hearse. (yeah, I just got goosebumps)

#12 - I love writing in a journal.

#13 - I love reading them more.

#14 - I have a list of every boy I've ever kissed.

#15 - That list is LONG!

#16 - I remember things better when a song or smell is attached with the memory.

#17 - I have a HORRIBLE memory.

#18 - And yet, I can remember more people's birthdays than anyone should.

#19 - I used to collect stickers, pencils, Garbage Pail Kids cards, and knives.

#20 - I still think of old friends when I see a car on the road like they used to drive.

#21 - I was given my own phone line when I turned 16. Not my own cell phone, my own land line.

#22 - I think Demitri Martin is one of the funniest people ever.

#23 - There was a time in my mid 20's when I didn't want to have kids...ever. (I'm glad I grew out of that!)

#24 - I enjoy volunteering at the Ogden Marathon each year, even though I killed a cat one year on the drive up there!

#25 - I have a friend, Cynthia Patten Taylor, that I have tried to track down for years and I can't find her.

#26 - I wish people could choose when they die.

#27 - I think things taste better in miniature form (snickers, éclairs, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups)

#28 - I would always prefer to eat with a small fork and spoon vs. large ones.

#29 - I hope Baskin Robins brings back Daiquiri Ice sorbet.

#30 - I think hunting is wrong!

#31 - I have always wanted to be on Wheel of Fortune. I'm ridiculously good at it.

#32 - I am not social at all. I would prefer to stay in.

#33 - I cheated on my first boyfriend because he wouldn't kiss me. I kissed a total loser and paid for it for many years to come.

#34 - It bugs me when people I don't know very well call me by a nickname.

#35 - I used to bite my nails, until I was 19 and had back surgery.

#36 - I hate grasshoppers.

#37 - I didn't eat refined sugar for 9 months.

#38 - I can't help editing everything I read.

#39 - I've never been taken to the ER for an emergency.

#40 - I did ride in the front of an ambulance once, when my friend fell out of the back of a truck.

#41 - 5 of my 10 closest friends have had boob jobs. Maybe 6. I'm not even sure anymore!

#42 - I read the obituaries and cry often at them.

#43 - I think people should list if a loved one committed suicide. I don't think there is any shame in that at all.

#44 - I pray my kids outlive me.

#45 - I want to see RENT in NY before it closes this year.

#46 - I also want to see Elton John in Vegas.

#47 - I drink the pickle juice out of the jar of pickles with a straw. (My cousin does too.)

#48 - I hate to be chased. I'll drop to the ground and curl up in a ball.

#49 - If you try to tickle my feet, be prepared to get kicked...HARD!

#50 - I am so glad Mason has Josh's eyes.

#51 - I only have one grandparent still living. She is 95 yrs. old.

#52 - I like to know everyone's birthday and middle name that I'm friends with.

#53 - I save notes from people I love.

#54 - I've had more speeding tickets than I can count and got out of more than I should have.

#55 - I've never taken a CPR class, but I want to.

#56 - I was a horrible student.

#57 - I had a new car almost every year (for 3 years) after I turned 16. I was spoiled!

#58 - My house used to be the 'hang out' house for all of my friends.

#59 - I hated sleepovers, unless they were at my house.

#60 - I love my mom's cooking.

#61 - Last year, when I was pregnant with Mason, was the first time I've ever missed my Idaho family reunion.

#62 - My friend, Julie, did the 'ring test' on me and told me I wouldn't have any more kids. I hope she's wrong.

#63 - I love Murano glass!

#64 - White chocolate dipped strawberries are my favorite!

#65 - I don't know why I hate chocolate milk. I love milk and like chocolate. It's weird. Same with potatoes o graten.

#66 - My body is strange. I have the weirdest things diagnosed. Most recently, a liver lesion. Nothing to worry about they say.

#67 - I love the rain!

#68 - I would really like Rob and Val to move to Utah.

#69 - I love watching Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs.

#70 - I look more like my dad than my mom, but I have more of my mom's personality.

#71 - My middle name is Alana and I love that name.

#72 - Until now, I hadn't noticed that the reason my eyes are always bloodshot is because of wearing makeup. I do my makeup about 2-3 times a week is all, since being a stay at home mom.

#73 - I eat cheddar cheese and drink Dr. Pepper even though they give me terrible headaches.

#74 - My favorite movie is Grease.

#75 - I was considered the 'bad influence' by my friend's parents growing up. Luckily, they all love me now.

#76 - I think Nilla wafers are addicting.

#77 - I was called to serve a mission in Tacoma, Washington.

#78 - I had worked for Zions Bank for 10 yrs. when I quit to stay home with Mason.

#79 - I am in my dad's gemology video with my sister, Nicole. It's really bad.

#80 - I wanted to be a model when I was younger.

#81 - It creeped me out, even as a kid, that we buried our pets in the back yard.

#82 - I play electronic Yahtzee every night to wind down before bed.

#83 - I am grateful that age doesn't matter in friendships/relationships.

#84 - I don't think that all things 'natural' with babies feel natural to me. I wanted a c-section and didn't like nursing.

#85 - My favorite pair of shoes I've had since my junior year of high school. I just took them to Italy. They are Simples and most people think they are horribly ugly.

#86 - I wonder what happened to my dog, Cedar, after I gave her away.

#87 - I remember every phone number I've ever had.

#88 - I prefer to give gifts than get them, truly!

#89 - I would play games with my family every day, if I was given the opportunity.

#90 - I will always be grateful for the time that me and Mason are spending with my parents right now.

#91 - I still have my favorite stuffed animal, Bridgette, in my bedroom. I stopped sleeping with her only 2 years ago.

#92 - I am already struggling with the idea of Mason going on a mission and leaving me for 2 years.

#93 - I still wear the same perfume I've worn since 8th grade, Victoria's Secret Rapture

#94 - I prefer to eat Life cereal out of the box vs. with milk.

#95 - I love to get cards and letters in the mail.

#96 - It irritates me when people don't put pictures in wedding announcements/invitations.

#97 - I love taking pictures and am grateful to have so many great memories caught on camera.

#98 - One of my eyes is smaller than the other. It's especially noticeable when I smile.

#99 - My knees and my jaw pop all of the time.

#100 - My sister set up my first email account as 'myliaso' or My Life is a Soap Opera.
