Welcome to how Mason looks 1/2 of the time lately. Gnawing on something...anything! He's 'cruising' around all my furniture and biting on every single inch of it. I know there must be a tooth or two coming in somewhere, but I can't feel or see anything. He's more drooly too. Not to mention, his mood swings. Goodness! One minute he's giggling and the next he's having a tantrum and trying to bite the floor. (It's rather comical, actually!) All I can do is love, love, love him (and dose him with Tylenol and teething tablets).Josh and Mason have a definite 'Father and Son' bond. If Mason has ever done anything remotely dangerous or crazy, it's usually with Josh. Granted, I am ridiculously overprotective. Josh would never put Mason in any serious danger! Anyway, the recliner is their new favorite spot for silliness. Josh showed me tonight how funny Mason looks as he spins him round and round in the recliner. True enough, both were smiling the entire time! Josh pointed out that if he goes around too many times, Mason WILL get sick. Spoken from experience, I presume. For whatever reason, Josh decided to hang Mason from the back of the recliner too. Where do men come up with this stuff and why? To see if their boys are strong?? Mason hung on like a little cat for dear life. He slowly lowered himself down until he was standing on the ground. Josh was standing by for spotting purposes, but Mason didn't need any help. I'd say our recliner is about 3-4 feet tall, so it was quite a drop. Before he started his downward descent though, he hung there crossing his little ankles. This is one of my favorite things Mason does right now. He crosses his ankles when he sits, sleeps, etc. I thinks it's terribly cute!

he is such a beautiful boy!! and i totally get the 'tough guy' thing. mike is constantly finding new skills for the boys to try out! fun dads!
I love the crossed ankles. Blake has done that since birth. I am pretty sure thats how he was in-utero. His knees loved my ribs! The Father/Son bond thing is funny. After two girls its been fun to see the different way Tony treats Blake.
I don't think that dad's are alone in that! I am always amazed at the kinds of things the kids will come up with. I would constantly be stopping someone from trying to hurt themselves. I guess they just learn what their limits are. I came out one day to 2.5 year old Brett doing front flips off of the couch. Talk about scarry!!!! Mason's such a cute kid! What a great bond with Josh too!
