This is how I celebrate Easter

My Easter post will look different than most of yours. I didn't buy Mason some cute outfit to wear to church, we didn't dye easter eggs, or do an easter egg hunt. I know, I've been harassed already. The truth is, I just don't think Mason gives a crud right now. I bought him a basket, which I failed to give him until 9pm tonight. He enjoyed it for a few moments and let Josh read his book to him. I also bought him his first set of markers. He's great at coloring.
We spent Easter with family, at my parent's house. In the spring, we will 'walk the yard' every Sunday. We will look for new blossoms, new growth, new life, etc. Today was a great success! Here a couple of my finds.

Peas sprouting

Dove eggs in Wisteria (Mama dove wasn't willing to be photographed.)

Red ants making a new home for themselves

The white/yellow daffodils

We don't get very spiritual in our regular family gatherings, but there were a few comments regarding new growth and the obvious Christ-oriented dove.

When the babies are little, it is more for us then them with most things. So if you don't want to do it, then you can't feel guilty. However, that butterfly cake looks pretty fancy!
