Tagged - My 100

Okay, I wouldn't normally just copy a list from someone else, but this list made me sound kind of accomplished, so I couldn't resist.

To participate just copy and paste in your own blog, and bold all of the things you have done.

1. Started your own blog ... Yup
2. Slept under the stars ... Yes, it made me nervous every single time
3. Played in a band
4. Visited Hawaii
5. Watched a meteor shower
6. Given more than you can afford to charity ... Tithing (aka life insurance)
7. Been to Disneyland ... When I was too young to remember...or was it DisneyWorld
8. Climbed a mountain ... Define 'mountain'. Everything I've ever climbed felt like a mountain.
9. Held a Praying Mantis...I have no interest in doing this again...EVER!
10. Sang a solo ... Sorda (see Karaoke below)
11. Bungee jumped
12. Visited Paris...I loved Paris. So beautiful and romantic. It rained a good portion of the time, which made it that much better.
13. Watched a lightning storm at sea
14. Taught yourself an art from scratch
15. Adopted a child
16. Had food poisoning
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
18. Grown your own vegetables
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France...Way overrated in my opinion. I walked into the room, glanced at the 30 people surrounding the tiny painting and walked right back out. Done!
20. Slept on an overnight train...Even with an Ambien, I wouldn't call it 'sleeping'. Not cozy!
21. Had a pillow fight ...many of them and hopefully many more to come.
22. Hitch hiked
23. Taken a sick day when you're not ill ...Yup, I've done this a few times. I think 'sick of work' should totally count.
24. Built a snow fort ... I'm sure I participated in such a thing as a kid, but my memory fails me.
25. Held a lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping
27. Run a Marathon
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice ...Venice is amazing. Luciano was our gondolier and it was so much fun. (No, Tawni, Vegas DOES NOT count!)
29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset ... I have seen both and find them incredible, even though mornings are of the devil.
31. Hit a home run
32. Been on a cruise... Not my favorite way to travel, but I have some really good memories from them. I didn't like feeling so confined for so long.
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person
34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors
35. Seen an Amish community
36. Taught yourself a new language
37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied
38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person...I was only a few hours away from checking this one off my list, but Florence was too miserable to stay in. That bumped our Pisa trip too.
39. Gone rock climbing
40. Seen Michelangelo’s David
41. Sung karaoke ... I hate to make a fool of myself. HATE IT! I have done karaoke once and it was my last. It was not pretty! Sarah McLachlan would have committed suicide.
42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt...I think so. I went when I was young, but I don't remember more than what pictures I've seen since.
43. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant
44. Visited Africa
45. Walked on a beach by moonlight ... San Diego, Cancun.
46. Been transported in an ambulance
47. Had your portrait painted
48. Gone deep sea fishing
49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person...This was a slight disappointment, much like the Mona Lisa. I value the art of it, but the hype is overkill. There are so many beautiful frescoes in the Vatican museum that the Sistine Chapel just seemed like another hall/room.
50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris... I went with my brother-in-law, Wade. Not exactly romantic, but it was awesome. I am so afraid of heights and I was scared to death. It was night time and it was pouring rain. It was amazing!! Since Nicole had been before, she waited for us at the bottom with Ethan, freezing.
51. Gone scuba diving
52. Kissed in the rain ... many, wonderful times.
53. Played in the mud
54. Gone to a drive-in theater ... Been to a few, but can't remember any in particular that stand out. (Good thing no ex-boyfriends read this. I'd hate for them to think their date night wasn't memorable.)
55. Been in a movie
56. Visited the Great Wall of China
57. Started a business
58. Taken a martial arts class
59. Visited Russia
60. Served at a soup kitchen
61. Sold Girl Scout Cookies
62. Gone whale watching
63. Got flowers for no reason ... A couple of times that are my favorite. I got a couple dozen daisies from my sister and I got 11 white roses with 1 red rose that was the prettiest arrangement I'd ever seen. The card read 'One in a million'.
64. Donated blood, platelets or plasma...I have B- blood, so I've donated a few times. The last time was over 5 years ago because I passed out. It was at work and they had to call my boss to let him know that I would have to be monitored for 30 min. Embarrassing!
65. Gone sky diving
66. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp
67. Bounced a check
68. Flown in a helicopter
69. Saved a favorite childhood toy ... I still have a stuffed animal pig named Bridgette, a dog named Fleagle the beagle, a lion named Tigra
70. Visited the Lincoln Memorial
71. Eaten Caviar...this is probably why I hate cruises. My dad always wanted me to try the yucky, expensive food. Caviar was very, very salty.
72. Pieced a quilt ... I made a pieced quilt (with the help of my mom and sister, Stacy) for my boyfriend when I was 18. Stacy surprised with a baby blanket to match.
74. Toured the Everglades
75. Been fired from a job
76. Seen the Changing of the Guards in London...This was very cool. I felt like paparazzi taking photos, hanging from the black and gold gate. I wish that the guards had been in red, but they were wearing dark blue/black.
77. Broken a bone
78. Been on a speeding motorcycle ...Numerous times when I was younger and now I refuse to ride on ANY motorcycle, speeding or not. They scare me too much.
79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person
80. Published a book
81. Visited the Vatican...Twice now. This last time was so amazing. We were running out of time in Rome and the Vatican had closed unexpectedly on the day we had planned to go. Nicole and I woke up at 6am to be to the Vatican when it opened. There were only workers and clergy at St. Peter's basilica and we were the first ones to buy our tickets to go to the top of the dome. It was beautiful and very serene.
82. Bought a brand new car ... I had new cars bought for me for about 4 years from 16 yrs. old on. I was spoiled rotten and I loved every minute of it.
83. Walked in Jerusalem
84. Had your picture in the newspaper ...Announcements for my mission and my wedding.
85. Read the entire Bible
86. Visited the White House
87. Killed and prepared an animal for eating
88. Had chickenpox ...I had to have had them, but I don't remember it.
89. Saved someone’s life...I can't know for sure, but this last summer I noticed a baby alone in a locked car in a parking lot. I alerted the store owner and the cops. The mother came out and got quite a lashing from me. She may have only been a few minutes, but it was in July and that baby could have died from the heat.
90. Sat on a jury
91. Met someone famous ...Again, define 'met'. I saw Val Kilmer in an airport and he declined giving me an autograph. To his credit, he was holding a young child in his arms.
92. Joined a book club
93. Lost a loved one ... Yes
94. Had a baby ... Yes and it's the greatest thing ever!
95. Seen the Alamo in person
96. Swam in the Great Salt Lake
97. Been involved in a law suit...I tried to sue UTA for an accident that I was involved in while riding a bus into work. I had horrible whiplash and headaches, but I hired a putz attorney. I got no where with it.
98. Owned a cell phone ...Yup and I hope to never be without one.
99. Been stung by a bee...Lots of times. My sister, Nicole, and I would catch them when we were little. I didn't really think for myself back then and I just went along with what she was doing. Not too bright.
100. Fallen in love ... There is no greater feeling than love. I have been lucky enough to fall in love numerous times and most recently, with my little Mason.
