Mason loves Kenley. No doubt about it. He hugs her, kisses her, holds her hand and tells her that he loves her without any prompting or coaxing on my part. It's truly adorable. She is welcome to play with Mason and me always. She 'fights' and 'bowls' like an amateur, but she'll get it soon enough. Josh is in love with her too. He is such an awesome father. Both kids light up when they see him. Plus, he has more energy than I ever do, so they love to go out on the town together.
I went back to work beginning in January. I am still working part time at the Davis Applied Technology College, for now. Unfortunately, I need to work full time and they don't the ability to give me benefits. I have a job offer pending (background check must be done first) with Weber University. I am so grateful to have found a full time job with benefits. We've been without health insurance since November and it freaks me out. Plus, paying out of pocket for prescriptions and doctor appointments sucks rocks! Working full time will be an adjustment. It's been 3 1/2 years. I have found a great daycare for the kids. A darling girl in my neighborhood started a daycare out of her home when she had her 2nd child. She has kids about the same age as mine. She is so great with the kids! Daycare is a horribly expensive deal. Of course, I still think they get paid way too little for all that they do. It's just new for me to pay someone to watch the kids. She lives 2 houses away from me and we get along really well. I am SO grateful. Even more important though, the kids love to be there! At some point, I'll have to address Mason going to pre-school, but not right now. He still won't allow us to potty train him. I say it this way because I know dang well he COULD be potty trained. He chooses not to. No amount of bribes or coercing is working with him. Stubborn monkey.
