The Big Boy gets a new bed!

I was so tempted to leave Mason in his crib as long as I possibly could. He is just so determined on things and I couldn't imagine trying to get him to 'stay' in a big boy bed. However, he sleeps sideways a lot and I felt bad when I saw how cramped he is (see slideshow). Plus, he sleeps in playpens, during the week with sitters. Ughhh. WAY TOO SMALL! He needs to learn how to stay in an actual bed. Anyway, over the last week I've searched out bed/bedding stuff. I found a great bed, with storage, on KSL.com for $50. It was near Provo, so gas money has to be considered on top of that. Still, an amazing deal. I bought a mattress, bedding, etc. this weekend. (Total for all was less than $200.) Josh helped me, by breaking down the crib and setting up the new bed, last night. WOO HOO! It turned out soooooo cute. Mason loves it, Josh loves it and so do I.
Here are the great photos from the evening. I will do another post on Mason's obsession with bowling, so stayed tuned for that.

For the record, Mason was on the floor, when he woke me up this morning. I don't know when, or how long, he slept there. :)

I am kinda freaking out. Is he seriously old enough for that huge transition? That is nuts!!!

We are heading that direction in our household this Spring. We get back from Disneyland in April and once that trip is over we are starting the big girl bed. I am NOT excited about it but it's time to get it handled so we can use the crib for the new babers so oh well.

I am inspired to see that Mason did such a great job with it. That gives me a great deal of hope!!!
