My family loves to camp. It's such a great time to just chill with each other and hang out, dirty as all hell. Sure enough, this last camping trip was no different...except that Mason walks now. I am in sheer amazement that he did not run his firetruck (an appropriate toy of sorts) into the campfire. He just kept running by it, over and over, saying 'hot, hot'. Well, at least he understood something about my warnings. There are too many wonderful memories to be remembered and yet, I know I will forget them if I don't write them down. We fished, we played games, we ate, we got attacked by a ginormous moth, there were knife throwing contest (both of dad's knives sacraficed to the tree gods), cupcake decorating, Dominion playing, fire managing (by Chance, this year), log splitting, wagon rides, moose sightings, bubbles, ring tossing, ramp races, Mason sleeping in an actual bed (with the help of a bed rail and a my in-laws' camper), pot-gut and robin feedings, a car show at Brighton, children tied to trees (literally), and so on. Phew. You should be totally jealous that you weren't there.
Here are the photos to prove most of this. I'll try to narrow it down, but some people are seeing these for the first time. (Well, this is everyone's first time, but family actually gives a hoot!) Niki has some great photos too (I'm even in a few), but I don't have them yet.

Do you guys go to Fish Lake still every August?? I remember you going when we worked together. I still am NOT a fan of "nature" unless it is enjoying the ocean from a beach-front property! :)
